Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships combine on-the-job training with an individual learning programme giving your employees the knowledge, skills and experience to excel in their chosen careers, whether they are existing members of staff or new employees to your team.

Apprenticeships are an amazing way of growing new talent within your organisation in a cost effective way with a real return on investment. They come in a variety of fields and levels enabling you to develop your workforce across your organisation

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Levy: With many organisation paying into the Levy this means you have that money ring fenced to be invested in your staff’s development. Even if you don’t pay the Levy Government are kindly covering 95% of all apprenticeship training costs for you.

Employers with an annual pay bill over £3 million, will be required to contribute to the apprenticeship Levy. This is ring-fenced in a digital account to fund apprenticeship training. This means you will have more opportunity to directly drive the skills and training your organisation needs.

Co-Investment: If you don’t need to pay the Apprenticeship Levy due to having a payroll under £3 million you will fall under the apprenticeship Co-Investment model. This means you will have to make a small contribution of 5% towards the training fees for your Apprentice and Government will pay the rest.
